Every Saturdays, Georges & Cerika are exhibiting their Bohemian Art pieces and lapidary work, doing Stone Reading, Soul Story Telling and sometimes also playing Bohemian songs at the Saturday Market in Ganges on SaltSpring Island.

When?
Each Saturday, from April through the last Saturday in October. From about 8am - 4pm, rain or shine.

Where?
Oceanside at Centennial Park in the heart of Ganges on Salt Spring Island, in the Gulf Islands of British Columbia on Canada’s west coast.

at the 2010 Spring Carnival on Saltspring Island

The SSI Co-operative Pre-school was hosting the 10th edition of its Spring Carnival on May 16 at the Farmer’s Institute, here on Saltspring Island.

Cerika performs her Art of Transformation at Spring Carnival
Under the name “Metamorphosis”, Cerika has been performing for years as a professionnal make-up artist in major international festivals in Quebec city & Montreal.

Now on Saltspring Island, she was happy to share her art of transformation with the community and help support the great cause and efforts of the SSI Co-operative Pre-school.

Beauty & Bliss for the kids
If there is something that characterizes Cerika, it’s certainly her deep belief in the importance of Art, Beauty and Happiness in one’s life. As much as we need the best food and the best water available for ourselves and for our loved ones, filling our own life and also the life of others with moments of Beauty & Happiness is also equally vital. All young & young at heart will agree, we’re sure.

About Cerika & her Work
Cérika is a Canadian professional artist born in Belgium,  Europe.  She practices her Art of Beauty through a unique alchemy of disciplines ranging from lapidary arts, metal work, leatherwork, painting to sculpting.

The Concept: Bohemian Art Companions

Her approach to Art is one of integrality where meaning, uniqueness and the human experience all play major roles. She feels that life is a continuum of elements in constant interaction and evolution. Each and every action, thought and emotion of our lives do influence both our whole existence and consciousness as well as those of others.
For her, Art is more than just something you do or the medium you use, it is a celebration of our fundamental uniqueness, an ode to life and beauty and a privileged communication link with the Universe.

Each of Cerika’s jewelry pieces also carries a hidden element: a profound & mysterious symbolic meaning that can only be described as a blend of the destiny of both the object and its human destination.
As an added value, each person who will end up with one of her pieces is invited to get in contact with her in order to get a micro reading of its symbolism. This complements harmoniously the affinity spiral that was initiated with the piece’s creation and its “second life” with its “new Companion”.
